I purchased a new dock this season from Great Northern Docks and was extremely happy with the quality and service. From the initial site review, where the team came out and created options on paper, to the prompt delivery, everything went smoothly. When my installers were short some pipe, I called and GND quickly cut a 20’ pipe into two pieces and had it ready to go within the hour for no extra charge. They also gave me a refund for a few extra pieces that I had left over after installation.The dock itself is great looking, well constructed, and very functional for fun summer days on the lake; whether boating or just relaxing on the dock. Other basic tools

That you may already have at home

  • 9/16 Inch Wrench and Socket, a standard size used for our hardware.
  • 8-Point Half Inch Star Socket, for the square head set screws that press into the pipe legs.
  • 5 lb. sledge hammer.
  • A bubble level and plastic level floats
  • Framing Hammer
  • Large Screwdriver for deck panel latches.
  • Flat head screwdriver, for releasing J Brackets on aluminum stationary docks.
  • 1/4″ Allen Wrench for other set screws we often use.
  • Water clothing and gear, such as boots, waders or wet suit, neoprene gloves, a hat, a mask and snorkel is useful.
  • Strong Magnet or a Rake, if tools are dropped
  • Waterproof Phone Case
  • Battery tools, charged up!
  • Pipe cutter
  • Rope
